The Prayer Breakfast is an interfaith gathering featuring religious leaders from around the metro focusing on our role in supporting the family and protecting our children. Guest presenter Dr. Peter DeBenedittis, one of America's leading experts on media education and prevention, will speak on media literacy and Internet safety. The event is free of charge and open to the public with breakfast being served.

The conference will continue through the afternoon with an educator’s luncheon and seminar addressing the role of teachers and administrators in protecting students from harmful Internet use. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. located at the Phillip’s Pavilion on the grounds of the Governor’s Mansion. Sponsored by Sonic, America's Drive In, this event will feature DeBenedittis leading the group in interactive breakout sessions and tools for protecting their classrooms and students. For reservations or more information on the educators lunch, please contact Kate Thompson at the First Lady’s office by phone at (405) 522-8809 or by e-mail at kate.thompson@gov.ok.gov.

The day will conclude with a special Family Night at St. Luke’s and is open to parents, children and youth at 7:00 p.m. The night’s program will include a special presentation by DeBenedittis geared towards middle school and high school youth and parents, as well as entertainment and activities for the children and youth. Again, childcare will be provided for the families of St. Luke's members.

Reservations are preferred for both the Prayer Breakfast and Family Night and can be made by contacting St. Luke’s by phone at (405) 232-1371 or by e-mail at info@stlukesokc.org.
